Last January 18, 2018, the Greeters & Collectors Ministry held their monthly meeting inside the Parish church, back portion. It started with the singing of “Come Holy Spirit” followed by an Opening Prayer. The meeting began at 7:00 in the evening then followed by the Gospel Reading. Some of the Greeters & Collectors shared their reflections from the exegesis of Rev. Fr. Mark Marbella.
The first agenda was about the Basic Liturgical and the Doctrinal Formation for the new Greeters & Collectors. This will be on Feb 3, 2018 and March 3, 2018 for the first batch. The second batch will be on August 18, 2018 for the Basic Liturgical and September 1, 2018 for the Doctrinal Formation. Basic Formation will be held in Arzobispado, Intramuros Manila, while the Doctrinal Formation will be held in Lay Formation Chapel at San Carlos Seminary in Guadalupe Makati. The Basic Formation Liturgical will be from 8am-5pm and the Doctrinal will be from 8am-12nn. A registration fee of Php 250.00 and 1×1 I.D. picture. The recommendation letter from the Parish Priest is also needed. At present we have 2 new Greeters & Collectors and hopefully there will be more before the Basic Formation. There is also an ongoing / Renewal Formation for Greeters & Collectors on June 23, 2018 from 8am to 12nn and a registration fee of Php 100.00.
The next agenda was about the confirmation of schedules on Sunday Masses. Since we are still few, there will be only three to four Greeters in every Sunday Mass. Praise God since we have Fr. Mark as Priest-in-charge in Worship Ministry and Sis. Mila Enriquez as our Head in the Worship Ministry, the Greeters & Collectors Ministry will be guided accordingly.
Regular and punctual attendance in the monthly meeting is expected from every member. In case of sudden changes in schedule during Sunday duties and emergency absences, a greeter should be held responsible to find her reliever. Changing schedules in Sunday duties is allowed but should be done in the monthly meeting for the information of other greeters. The Greeters & Collectors are not supposed to leave after their duty until the greeters & collectors for the next mass are complete. Other concerns discussed were about the calendar year of activities and the voluntary amount of contribution for the uniform fund so that we can financially assist the members who could not afford to spend for their own uniform.
The birthday celebrants in January are: Regina Ocampo – Jan 6; Ma. Trinidad Mendoza – Jan 7; Juliet Lopez – Jan 9; Sis Felicia’s wedding anniversary was Jan 9. We are thankful because Fr. Mark enlightened us and advised us about our current evaluation.
After the closing prayer the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 in the evening.
The next Greeters & Collectors meeting will be on February 15, 2018, same venue and same time schedule.
Glory to God in the highest!
