Last January 21, 2018, the Ministry of Altar Servers held their ministry mass and thanksgiving party. The Ministry mass was at 5:30pm with Rev. Fr. Francis as the mass presider. In his homily, he said that the Feast of Sto. Nino teaches us to be like a child, dependent on God and forgiving to everyone.

The thanksgiving party started at 7pm at the celebration hall. Opening remarks was given by John Paul Alejo wherein he thanked the altar servers who are committed in the ministry. There were games and lots of prizes given to the altar servers. Rev. Msgr. Nestor C. Cerbo gave a short message that God is grateful to those who are thankful to Him. Msgr. Cerbo added that it is better to be a thankful person rather than a person who always asks something to God. He also encouraged the members to invite other young boys to be part of the ministry because one of our goal is to guide others to Christ. Not only the parish priest but the priest in charge of the worship ministries were introduced and gave an inspiring message. Rev. Fr. Mark Marbella told to the members that he too was an altar server and he experienced what some of the young boys are doing but he strived to be a priest because of the blessings he received. He said that in being an altar server, it is a good way to prepare them in becoming a priest and everything should not be taken easily, “ lahat ng madaling nakukuha ay madali rin nawawala kaya ang pinaghihirapan ay mas tumatagal at nalalaman natin ang tunay na halag ng bagay na pinaghihirapan”.
