The Parish Staff and Catechists of St. John the Baptist Parish, together with Rev. Msgr. Nestor C. Cerbo, Parish Priest had their 2018 Summer Outing last May 15-16, 2018. It was held at Coral View Resort in Morong, Bataan. Before heading to Bataan, the staff and catechists of SJBP attended the 6 AM mass here in our parish. At exactly 7:30 in the morning they departed from San Juan City and started travelling to Bataan.
They reached Coral View Resort at 11:45 AM, receiving a warm welcome from its staff. They had their lunch at 12:30 PM, served in buffet style. Afterwards, they proceeded to their assigned rooms for their siesta. Some of the parish staff and catechists started enjoying their vacation by going to the beach and pool areas to swim. Kuya Ernesto and Ate Dolor prepared some group activities for our parish staff and catechists. At exactly 4:30 PM, Kuya Ernesto and Ate Dolor started the activity and explained the mechanics for the first game, entitled “shoot the stick.” In this activity, Sis. Catchy and her team won the game. The 2nd game was entitled “obstacle relay.” In this activity, Sis. Annabelle and her team won the game. Msgr. Nestor enjoyed much the games prepared by Ate Dolor and Kuya Ernesto.
After the group activities, dinner was served. It was a remarkable night for all because of the prepared food (liempo, hotdog, bangus, and corn) for grilling during the bonfire activity. The night was full of fun and excitement especially to the parish staffs and catechists who were tirelessly working in our parish to serve our beloved parishioners everyday.
The next day was a free time for them to enjoy the beautiful ambiance of the resort. Some of the parish staff and catechists did island hoping adventure. Others simply enjoyed swimming in the cold water of the the beach. At exactly 12:00 NN, they left the resort. Before they went home, they also visited the Holy Land in Subic for their side trip. They arrived in the Parish at 5:00 in the afternoon.
The parish staff and catechists would like to thank Bro. Ronald Nabong and co. for driving them safely from San Juan City to Bataan and back home.
God bless us all!
